I walk and Roll & Rock, im Barak.
Every artist has a story, but for me, the story is the song.
My journey began under the electric skies of Tel Aviv, in the gritty, pulsing rock clubs where music was a language of raw, unfiltered emotion. The stage was my home. The guitar was my voice. I poured everything I had into the chords and the choruses, chasing a sound that was honest and loud, a sound that could fill the space and silence the questions that echoed in the quiet moments. For a long time, the energy of the crowd and the roar of the amplifier were enough.
But a deeper melody was calling—a whisper that, over time, grew into a divine song I could no longer ignore.
That whisper led me on a journey away from the life I knew and toward a truth that had been waiting for me all along. Through the timeless wisdom of Chassidic teachings and the vibrant community of Chabad, I found what I had been searching for not in the noise, but in the soul. I discovered that the ultimate source of all music, all passion, and all creativity is God. It was a revelation that didn't ask me to abandon my music; it asked me to elevate it.
Today, my music is a fusion of the two worlds I love. It’s the searing guitar riff of a rock anthem and the ancient, holy melody of a prayer. It’s the raw energy of the Tel Aviv stage infused with the unwavering light of faith. Each song is a conversation, a testament to the belief that you don’t have to choose between the modern world and a life of devotion. You can find holiness right where you are—in a thunderous drum beat, a soaring vocal, and a lyric that speaks to the divine spark (the Neshama) within us all.
This journey, however, would be meaningless without the ones who ground me. My greatest blessing and my truest song is my family. They are my anchor, my sanctuary, and the beautiful harmony that gives my life purpose. It is in my role as a husband and a father that I find the strength and inspiration to share my story with the world. They are the living proof that God’s greatest gifts are the connections we share with one another.
So, this is my music. It’s the sound of a life transformed. It's a shout of joy, a cry of yearning, and a prayer of gratitude. It's for anyone who has ever felt the pull between where they are and where they are meant to be.
Thank you for listening.
